Wonderful store with exceptional customer service! Custom create a modern interior within 4-6 weeks of a placed order. We walked in after viewing their online store, wanted to feel the fabrics and test out the furniture. We ended up ordering our what we saw online - they have accurate descriptions and photos.

Free parking behind the building, watch for potholes.

Both synthetic and man made materials are carried for fabrics. They are categorized into ‘Types.’ Type 1 are the least expensive, Type 2 are more pricy and Type 3 is most expensive. Type levels are not reflective of quality. Prices depend on how much the fabric costs for Modernica. I appreciate Julia for keeping it real and for spending lots of time with us, providing the pricing for our options. She made our experience nice and easy.

You can re-order the foam or the covers to couches in case anything happens to them.

Tons of fun and colorful fiber glass swatches to choose from!

Super flexible with payments - you can pay for half of your order upfront and then the other half before delivery. We purchased a custom couch with a small table and a unique rocking chair for under $5000.

They also have super abstract art work around the place, bright and colorful and all for sale starting around $30

DO NOT BUY CHAIRS FROM MODERNICA. Bad quality and poor customer service. I purchased 6 spyder base shell chairs and the screws didn’t match / don’t tighten (lack of washers) and the owner said it doesn’t need washers because the wood acts as a washer (which makes no sense when the base does attach firmly to the shell) and we also received one chair that had a bad fastener and their only response is not to tighten them all of the way, which causes the shell to lift. So disappointing that I shipped these all the way from California to Hawaii and they have such poor customer service it took them a week to have them condescendingly just tell me to tighten the screws. What the f do you think I’ve been doing? You sent me a bum chair, dummies.

The wire chairs from this manufacturer are HORRIBLE. They're flimsy and uncomfortable - nothing like the original Eames design. The base of the chair seat sticks out straight and cuts into the back of your legs, and the pads are so thin you can feel every bit of metal through them. The chair pads I received were covered with greasy fingerprints. Customer service is awful. I have to contact 2-3 times to get a response, even when they shipped my order to the wrong address, I basically lost over $1K to this retailer on two chairs that are unusable.

I'm editing my previous comments because I really do like the items I purchased. The ceramics are good quality, love the colors and they are smartly designed. I bought a case study cabinet and I think it's extremely well done. I hope it weathers as well as the original Eames pieces have. NOT a fan of how the shipping happened, but in terms of speed I got everything quickly. Worth buying from.

Giving this 1-Star because anticipation and trust we had behind modernica didn't match quality of services. When you're spending money on furniture that the average Joe would refer to as mid/premium products the timeliness of delivery, customer service and quality needs to match. The last thing I need to hear is I need to sit on a NON-upholstered chair while we get our sh!t(quality assurance) together.

1st Issue.- ($2500)Bed came with some minor blemishes/scratches.. which we didn't make a big deal about
2nd Issue - ($900)Day bed cover arrives 2 week past their 4-8 week delivery window. In addition to being late, frickin buttons don't snap together. So I have to deal with this cushion surfing all over the frame
3rd/4th issue - Storage Unit ($1,700) 3 weeks over 4-8 week delivery window on my storage unit.

Really hoping I don't need to update this review once my storage unit it arrives

Similar to other reviewers experience, my husband and I also received terrible customer service. We purchased a very expensive bed frame as a wedding gift to ourselves and at the time of purchase explained that it likely would need to be hoisted into our loft. We were assured this would not be an issue because they had done this for another customer in the past and the delivery crew would disassemble the bed to make it easier.

Fast forward to the day of our delivery, the movers show up and tell us they will not be able to get the frame upstairs as it was against company policy. We immediately called the showroom to explain the situation and after some negotiation were able to convince them to have someone return to our loft to re-assemble the bed after we moved it at no extra cost.

We just moved to LA so we had no one to help with the frame and had to put our family to work on Christmas day!

I emailed the company to confirm a time for someone to return to re-assemble the bed and was told that the owner refused the re-assembly and we would have to pay another $150 to get it re-assembled. I called the showroom to better understand where this change of heart came from and asked that the owner call me to explain his rationale.

Needless to say I am still waiting for that call...nearly 2 weeks later...

Believe the poor reviews here about terrible customer service. I bought a Large Case Study planter and it arrived with blemishes and imperfections. After rounds of emails their solution was to give me $20 credit to just deal with the poor quality. My other choice was to ship it back ($50) at my expense for an exchange. For purchasing high end prices for a planter, what I received would be considered Seconds-quality even tho they advertise “wheel thrown pieces made with great care” and “quality craftsmanship”. My planter was riddled with air bubbles. A return policy where you spend up to 20-25% of your purchase price to get their mistake fixed is NOT a fair policy for the consumer. I have seen Case Study planters in Mid-Century resale shops in better condition than what I received. And their reps will burn the bridge before theyre willing to provide decent customer service. Buyer beware.

Customer service and staff are pretty terrible unfortunately. The women working the show room are extremely unprofessional. I spent about 2,500 dollars and love the furniture I got and would have considered more however I could not imagine having to deal with them again. It is really unfortunate as they have very nice furniture and home decor.
